The North American T-6 Texan is an advanced single-engine training aircraft used to train the pilots of the United States Army, US Navy, Royal Air Force and other air forces of the United States. British Commonwealth during World War II and later years, and also served in many other countries. Designed by the American company North American Aviation in the 1930s, the T-6 is known by several different denominations depending on the model and the air force that used it. The USAAC named it AT-6, the US Navy SNJ, the Commonwealth Air Force called it Harvard. It is now a very popular historical military aircraft at the exhibits.
