The Albatros D.III is a German biplane fighter manufactured by the firm Albatros Flugzeugwerke that was used during the First World War by the Imperial Army Air Service German (Luftstreitkräfte) and the Austro-Hungarian Air (Imperial and Royal Aviation Troops) Service. The D.III was flown by many top German aces, including Manfred von Richthofen Mythical, "the Red Baron", Ernst Udet, Erich Löwenhardt, Kurt Wolff and Karl Emil Schaeffer.
