Grumman F-14A Tomcat
The F-14 began to replace the F-4 Phantom II in service from September 1974. Since then and during the 70's it was the main long-range heavy fighter plane, aerial superiority and tactical reconnaissance of the US Navy.

Equipped with a basket-type retractable probe and flexible hose for in-flight refueling, it was assigned for the defense of all US Navy aircraft carriers from 1972 to 2006, being the naval aircraft in active service commissioned for most years by the US Navy.

Tamiya brings us this iconic airplane as a novelty, in the legendary squadron Jolly Rogers version in 1/48 scale.
